Turkish PM to visit Pakistan later in February
Davutoglu to lead Turkey in Pakistan-Turkey strategic dialogue scheduled for February 17 in Islamabad

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu is expected to embark on a two-day official trip to Islamabad later in February in what will be his first ever visit to Pakistan as premier.
During the visit, the Turkish premier is expected to hold meetings with the political and military leadership of Pakistan.
When asked for confirmation, Foreign Office spokesperson Tasneem Aslam confirmed the visit, but said that the dates will be are yet to be finalised.
However, sources said that Davutoglu, who has previously visited Pakistan when he served as Turkey’s foreign minister, is likely to arrive in Islamabad on February 16.
The Turkish premier will also lead his country in the Pakistan-Turkey strategic dialogue scheduled to be held in Islamabad on February 17.
Sources say Afghanistan and IS are expected to be discussed with Davutoglu. Talks on enhancing trade between the two countries are also on the cards with a delegation of Pakistani businessmen expected to call on him.
Both the countries have pledged to enhance cooperation in energy, trade, urban development, infrastructure and the housing sector. Lahore’s Metro Bus service was built in collaboration with Turkey.
