Killer burger: Following court orders, police register FIR against restaurant owners

Police say they are still waiting for a chemical report on the burger

Police on Friday evening registered a first information report (FIR) against owners of the restaurant which made a contaminated burger and apparently caused the death of a teen aged girl almost a week ago.

Following court orders,  police registered FIR No 17/15 against Abid and Saqib at the North Nazimabad police station. The case has been registered on behalf of M Ahmed Bari, the father of ill-fated girl Kinza.


Kinza, 13, a student of class eight, had died last week and her mother and two younger siblings fell ill after consuming what the family claimed were poisonous burgers from Dilpasand Sweets’ in North Nazimabad.

SHO Nasir Sami said that they had complied with court orders but were still waiting for a chemical report on the allegedly contaminated burger.
