Combined income group: SPI falls week-on-week
The SPI for the combined income group decreased 0.13% from 208.49 points

The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) for the week ended February 4 registered a rise of 0.17% over the previous week for the lowest income group. The SPI for the group stood at 201.05 points against 200.71 in the previous week, according to provisional figures released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The SPI for the combined income group decreased 0.13% from 208.49 points in the previous week to 208.22 in the week under review. Compared to the corresponding week of last year, the SPI for the combined income group increased 0.44%. During the week, average prices of 15 items in a selected basket of goods fell, prices of 8 items rose and rates of remaining 30 recorded no change.
