Computerisation: World Bank team visits record office
The delegates were told that more than 99 per cent of the visitors were satisfied with the service.

A World Bank mission visited the land records centre at the Cantonment courts complex on Thursday. “The team comprised Edward Cook, Igor Popiv, Tony Burns and Samina Islam,” a Board of Revenue Project Management Unit spokesperson said. Capt (retd) Zafar Iqbal, the deputy project director, briefed the delegation about the computerisation of land records in the province. “Computerised land record services have started in 143 tehsils of province. A fard (single sheet) is now issued in 30 minutes,” he said. The delegates were told that more than 99 per cent of the visitors were satisfied with the service. The mission was told that the department had achieved all the project targets agreed with the World Bank. The mission praised the government for timely and successful implementation of the project.
