LAHORE:
National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) IG Muhammad Saleem said on Thursday that the force would establish driving schools at district level. He said these would be linked with the Licensing and Testing Authority. Saleem said this would ensure the issuance of quality driving licences. He said the force was the only department all Pakistanis were proud of.  Saleem was speaking at a police durbar in the city. He said it was incumbent on all NH&MP officials to ensure that the honour and dignity of the force remained intact. Saleem said officials from the department would strive to cultivate public goodwill further. He said the peoples’ faith and confidence in the force were the hallmarks of the department.  Saleem said the training curriculum would be revamped in accordance with latest preferences, contemporary requirements and goals. He said the career planning and promotion system of the NH&MP would also be revamped. “The department is our home. Hard work can make it prosperous,” he said.
