LAHORE:

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has opened a training centre in Swat. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had earlier directed the airlines to train young men in aircraft management.

An inauguration ceremony was held in Swat. Special Assistant to the prime minister on Aviation, Shujaat Azeem, attended the event. The centre will provide training in aircraft maintenance to the young men from Swat and adjoining areas.

PIA already has similar centres in Lahore, Rawalpindi and Nawabshah. Azeem also visited Swat Airport and directed Civil Aviation Authority officials to make it functional.
