Symposium: Country to host textile conference

Pakistan is soon going to host the first international conference on the textile industry, which will be held on February 28. Organising committee chairman Muhammad Naeem Qureshi told the media that the conference is being held in collaboration with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), All Pakistan Textile Mills Association, Towel Manufacturers Association, Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers Association and others. The aim of the conference is to promote exports, investment, technology development, social compliance, networking, B2B opportunities, energy efficiency and development of local technology, he added. Qureshi said leading national and international business leaders would deliver speeches and presentations. Moreover, in order to recognise the textile industry, textile leadership awards will also be given to various companies for their best performance. TDAP CEO SM Muneer and textile ministry representatives assured their full support for the event.
