Enhancing capabilities: Nisar chairs security meeting
FIA to send a team to Dubai this week to repatriate proclaimed offender Uzair Baloch
ISLAMABAD:
Interior Minister Nisar Ali Khan on Wednesday directed all departments dealing with security to enhance cooperation in order to outline a coherent strategy to prevent terrorism. At a meeting held with officials of NACTA, NADRA, FIA, capital police and ICT Administration, Khan reviewed the country’s security measures. Khan also announced an increase in the share of traffic police in fines from 25 per cent to 35 per cent. The Interior Ministry, however, has been denying ticket spoils to traffic police for the last couple of years. Khan also directed FIA to send a team to Dubai this week to repatriate proclaimed offender Uzair Baloch. The minister directed authorities to analyse transactions made through 667 accounts of Afghan refugees identified by the State Bank and proceed with legal action after due process.
