Dir cleared of militants

Operation Commander Colonel Nadeem Mirza said that the entire area of Dir has been cleared of militants, Express News reported on Thursday.
Talking to the media, he said that the militants have now no control over any part of Dir. He said that the operation against militants has been completed and security forces are now conducting search and cordon off operation in the area.
He said that the security forces are cooperating with the local community on reconstruction projects, besides maintaining law and order in the area.
On the occasion, Colonel Nadeem Mirza showed a huge cache of arms and ammunitions that were seized during the operation against militancy.
