Sabotage thwarted: BDU defuses bomb

The area was cordoned off while the bomb was being defused.

CHARSADDA:
A five-kilogramme explosive device planted by unidentified militants near the house of a resident of Thekadaranu Kalay was defused by the bomb disposal unit (BDU) on Tuesday.


An official of Tangi police said they were informed about a suspicious canister placed near the house of Haji Kashmali, after which they reached the site along with BDU personnel. The area was cordoned off while the bomb was being defused.
