Raids: 6 suspected terrorists held
.
ISLAMABAD:
In lieu of the National Action Plan announced after the Peshawar APS attack late last year, security forces and officials of intelligence agencies picked up six suspected terrorists belonging to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) from different areas of the capital on Tuesday. Sources in the police said the suspects belonged to the TTP’s Mohmand Agency chapter and that the arrests were made from Shahzad Town, Bhara Kahu and Tarnol areas. Police officials expressed complete ignorance about details of the suspects or the nature of the ‘intelligence’, saying the security agencies usually raid and apprehend suspects and take them to undisclosed places for investigation without their knowledge.
