RAWALPINDI: The head of the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) Saba Sadiq said on Sunday that efforts were being made to curb child begging and strict action would be taken against the mafia involved in the heinous practice. Sadiq expressed these views while visiting the CPWB office in the city. It is the responsibility of the government and the elite class to help destitute children become useful citizens, said Sadiq, adding that the government was making all-out efforts for provision of best residential, educational and health-related facilities to such children.
