Combined Income Group: SPI falls week-on-week
The SPI for the combined income group decreased 0.42%

The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) for the week ended January 29 registered a fall of 0.36% over the previous week for the lowest income group. The SPI for the group stood at 200.71 points against 201.43 in the previous week, according to provisional figures released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The SPI for the combined income group decreased 0.42% from 209.37 points in the previous week to 208.49 in the week under review. Compared to the corresponding week of last year, the SPI for the combined income group increased 0.25%. During the week, average prices of 11 items in a selected basket of goods fell, prices of 12 items rose and rates of remaining 30 recorded no change.
