Pilferage : 100 illegal gas meters disconnected
Residents of these areas had been stealing gas for six months.

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) disconnected 100 illegal gas connections around Satiana Road on Thursday.
The SNGPL general manager told The Express Tribune gas distribution officer Aqeel Ahmad and federal coordinator Rafaqat Ali had raided houses in Karamatabad and Elahiabad and found gas pilferage in more than 100 houses in these areas. He said gas was being supplied to these houses without permission from the SNGPL. He said residents of these areas had been stealing gas for six months. He said the teams had disconnected the supply and submitted complaints against owners of the houses at relevant police stations for registration of gas theft cases against them.
He said the SNGPL was evaluating the value of the gas stolen so action could be taken for recovery.
