The district administration of Thatta aims to turn at least two schools every year in each taluka into ‘model schools’.
The selection of one boys’ and one girls’ school will be based on enrolment. DC Agha Shahnawaz Babur told a meeting on Tuesday that they will pay for the cost from the corporate social responsibility funds. The meeting was attended by education department officials and representatives of the non-profit organisation, Alif Ailaan.
