Police have arrested a man for refusing to let health workers administer polio drops to his niece at Khamosh Colony, within the limits of Gulbahar Police Station.

Gulbahar police SHO Arif Razzak said the case was registered against Zahid Khan for creating hurdles in the dispensation of official duty. “In the morning, when the polio team reached his house, he refused to let them immunise his niece and started fighting with them,” he said.

The police official deployed with the team arrested him and sent him to the police station, where a case was registered against him. SHO Razzak added that Khan was a labourer by profession. He confirmed that the health workers managed to complete the vaccination drive in all areas of Gulbahar police station.
