A seven-year-old boy, who was kidnapped for ransom last week, was killed earlier today, Express News reported.
The kidnappers had been in touch with the child's parents and had asked for Rs10 million in ransom.
Speaking to Express News, the child's mother had said she had been saving money for her son's education and was not able to meet the demands of the kidnappers.
The child was first strangled and then drowned and left to be found by the police.
