It's sad: Dibakar Banerjee on Pakistan's 'Baby' ban
It's not only sad but also foolish, says Banerjee
KOLKATA:
In wake of Pakistan banning "Baby"- starring Akshay Kumar- filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee said that such incidents in India and Pakistan are "sad".
Banerjee had also said that both neighbours will end up paying a "heavy price" if such incidents continue adding that "I can't comment on the film. I haven't seen it. I can't comment if the ban is justified or not. All I can say is it's sad."
Banerjee had told IANS that what is happening between the two countries is not only sad but also foolish.
The movie revolves around an undercover unit, formed to keep an eye on the movements of terrorist groups and to mix their plans to disrupt peace and harmony.
Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the film also stars Rana Daggubati, Denzongpa and Taapsee Pannu and features Pakistani actors Mikaal Zulfiqar and Rasheed Naz. The film was released in India on Friday.
Concluding, Banerjee said that both India and Pakistan would be paying a very heavy price if they did not start behaving.
