Increased measures : Security committee formed

PINDIGHEB:


A Security Advisory Committee has been constituted in Pindigheb tehsil of Rawalpindi to provide a secure environment for residents.


The committee, which has been formed as per the instructions of the Punjab Home Department, will have regular meetings on a monthly basis to review the security situation of the tehsil and take remedial measures if and when needed.


The committee will include the sub-divisional police officer as its chairman while a naib tehsildar, representative of special branch, a representative of the anti-terrorism department and notables of the area, which include Muhammad Nadeem, Ghulam Rabbani and Muhammad Riaz.


The committee will point out sensitive areas of the tehsil and recommend measures to enhance security.


The body will also be empowered to visit any suspicious house, office or area to take preemptive measures.
