Dogs maul girl to death

Funeral held under police supervision after owner of dogs, a local landlord, pressurises police not to take action.

MULTAN: An eight year old girl died from her injuries after being bitten by dogs in Multan on Saturday.

The victim was on her way home from a madrasah when she was attacked by a pack of dogs belonging to a local landlord. She was rushed to Nishtar Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

According to sources the body was taken home under police supervision and the burial also took place under police control.

It has been alleged that the owner of the dogs had pressurised police not to take action. The father of the girl has also refused to talk about the incident after being pressured by the landlord and police.
