‘Elections in K-P were also rigged’
ANP abides by Bacha Khan’s principles of non-violence and will not bow down to external threats.

Awami National Party’s (ANP) former MNA Khurshid Begum on Saturday said Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa also witnessed rigging during the general elections of 2013.
Addressing a ceremony held to observe the death anniversaries of Bacha Khan and Abdul Wali Khan at Bacha Khan Library in Kohat, Khurshid said the 2013 elections were rigged as ANP was denied the right to campaign while its opponents held public meetings freely. A large number of workers were present on the occasion. Khurshid hailed party activists and leadership who stood the test of time and contested the elections nonetheless.
In his address, ANP district President Javed Khattak said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf lawmakers are claiming ownership of projects initiated by the ANP government. Meanwhile, former MPA Mussarat Shafi said the party abides by Bacha Khan’s principles of non-violence and will not bow down to external threats.
On the other hand, another ceremony was held in Ghazi Gul Baba area of Charsadda on Saturday. In his address, former provincial law minister and ANP Charsadda President Arshad Abdullah said it is about time the government takes indiscriminate action against all militants. A ceremony was also held in Nowshera, chaired by ANP K-P chief Amir Haider Hoti.
