Red Carpet round-up: LA premiere of the star-casted ‘Mortdecai”
Hollywood stars come out on the Red Carpet and astonish fans
Taking the red carpet by storm for the premiere of upcoming action-comedy Mortdecai, the stars were out and about in full form. While many Hollywood A-listers sizzled in refined designer wear, others jazzed up the night with urbane casual looks. Here are the looks that had our jaws drop.
Olivia Munn
Reportedly playing the antagonist in the new movie, Olivia channelled her inner femme fatale for the premiere. Wearing a sheer panel gown by American designer Ralph Rucci, part of his fall 2013 collection, the Magic Mike star exuded a gothic vibe. The long-sleeved number boasted a full-flowing skirt and a train. The actor completed her look with stacks of rings and her tousled hair worn down.
Johnny Depp
The Pirates of the Caribbean star looked debonair in his silk neck-tie, black-tailored trousers and matching double-breasted blazer, which he teamed with an amethyst-coloured shirt and a handkerchief of the same hue. Donning his signature light-blue tinted shades, Johnny looked dapper. He plays the charismatic art dealer Charlie Mortdecai in the film and we can’t say he didn’t charm us.
Gwyneth Paltrow
The Iron Man 3 star stood out at the occasion in a Grecian-inspired teal gown. Featuring a blue leather belt across her torso and a thigh-high slit, she was dressed to impress. She flaunted her lean arms and sleek waist in the floor-kissing number from Lanvin’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection. She played on the gown’s moody shade with blue strappy leather heels and statement earrings.
Amber Heard
Strutting in an all-black two-piece suit, the 3 Days to Kill star looked lovely in this season’s biggest trend. While we adored Amber’s cropped jacket, we weren’t fans of her wide-legged trousers, which didn’t show off her slender structure. Glistening in subtle make-up, she went for winged eyeliner and a touch of blush, and wore her golden-hued locks in windswept curls.
