Double Oscar-winning composer A R Rahman has urged people to stop violence against religion.
The 48-year-old took to his official Twitter page to promote the annual World Interfaith Harmony Week (WIHW) which is to be held in the first week of February.
WIHW was started by the UN in 2011 and is a way to promote harmony between all people regardless of their faith.
Apart from winning the two Academy Awards, Rahman has also won two Grammy Awards, a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe, four National Film Awards, 15 Filmfare Awards and 13 Filmfare Awards South.
