Freak death: Man dies as gun goes off

BAHAWALPUR:
A man died after his gun went off accidentally at a juice shop on Friday. Police said 21-year-old Muhammad Ajmal, a resident of Gul Dera and his friend Shaukat Kulyar purchased juice from a shop and were about to sit down on a bench when Ajmal’s gun went off. They said the bullet entered Ajmal’s leg and he died from excessive blood loss. On being informed, Abbasnagar’s Sub Inspector Raees visited the site and took the body to a basic health unit in Dera Bhaka for post mortem examination. However, his family asked police to return the body without the autopsy. Police have detained Kulyar and are questioning him.
