Raising Concerns: PMA to protest doctors’ killings

PMA to observe a black day on February 2 2015.

KARACHI:
The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA), in collaboration with other bodies of the medical fraternity, will protest the killings of healthcare providers in the metropolis through partial closure of out-patient departments (OPDs). PMA central president Dr Muhammad Idrees Adhi said no less than four doctors were killed during the first 20 days of the current year in Karachi. “We will observe a black day on February 2 by keeping all OPDs of government-run facilities and private clinics closed on the day,” he said.
