Power theft: FIA arrests LESCO line superintendent in Lahore
FIA team takes man into custody during a raid conducted at Shanwari Plaza

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) team arrested a line superintendent of Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) for being involved in electricity theft at Lahore's Shah Alam Market, Express News reported.
Ghazanfar was taken into custody during the raid conducted at Shanwari Plaza, a seven-storey building, of the market.
FIA Assistant Director FIA Jamil Khan, who headed the team, told The Express Tribune that the theft has caused a loss of 1.1 million rupees to LESCO.
Sub Inspector FIA Murtaza Bajwa also confirmed a case was registered against the line superintendent as well as the owner of the building.
"The electricity was being supplied through a transformer installed in a nearby residential area," he added.
Bajwa further said that the arrested was undergoing interrogation and the investigation is underway.
