Snowfall recorded in the mountainous areas of Kalat and Ziarat on Tuesday, taking the temperature below to freezing point in the uplands of Balochistan.
According to the Met Office, Harboi hills, the biggest juniper forest in Pakistan, received knee-deep snow while there was four-inch snowfall in Ziarat. There have also been rains in major parts of Balochistan since Monday night with Quetta, Mastung, Turbat, Gwadar, Lasbela, Loralai, Zhob and Pishin. Meanwhile, traffic on the road link between Turbat and Karachi was disrupted after the seasonal river in Dasht overflowed.
