KARACHI:

Light drizzle in different parts of the metropolis made the city's temperature drop on Tuesday evening, turning the weather pleasant.

An official from the meteorological department told Karachi's residents to prepare themselves for cloudy skies for the next 24 hours, adding that there were chances of a thunderstorm.

He added that light to moderate rain could start on Tuesday night, leading to minimum temperatures between 11 to 13 degrees Celsius. "However, the rainfall will not be too heavy," he said.

Following the rain on Tuesday, the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board and the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) issued press notes to inform the public about the precautionary steps they were taking, such as the maintenance of overflowing sewerage systems, cleaning of nullahs and deployment of their taskforce within the city.
