Gang war: 15 children injured in grenade attack on snooker club in Karachi
injured have been shifted to Civil Hospital for medical treatment

At least fifteen people, mostly adolescent children belonging to the Hindu community were wounded in a grenade attack in Old City area on Tuesday evening in what officials believe was a gang related attack.
The incident occurred when unidentified armed motorcyclists hurled a hand grenade near a snooker club located at Salar Compound in Bheempura, within the limits of Napier police station.
Following the explosion, rescue teams rushed to the site and shifted the injured to the Civil Hospital for medical treatment. Doctors said a few of the injured were in critical condition.
Most of the injured were adolescent children belonging to the Hindu community including Kapil Ashok, 9, Surya Lakshman, 10, Mahesh Kishan, 10. Two women passers-by were also among the injured.
Police have not been able to ascertain the motive behind the attack but suspect that the members of Lyari gang war could be involved.
SHO Napier Police Station Azam Khan said that the children injured in the attack were playing games at the snooker club adding that investigations were underway.
