Kashmiris refuse Indian amnesty offer
Kashmiris vow to continue struggle against Indian occupation.
MUZAFFARABAD:
Kashmiri militants and refugees on Friday rejected New Delhi’s amnesty offer and rehabilitation package and vowed to continue their struggle against the Indian occupation of Kashmir.
“We will continue our struggle against the Indian occupation until the right of self-determination is granted to us,” said a representative of Kashmiri militant organisations in charge of refugee camps in Muzaffarabad, at a news conference.
Representatives of the organisations said that Kashmir will achieve freedom only through continued struggle by the liberation movements.
They said that any rehabilitation package offered by New Delhi will not be accepted and the struggle against occupation by Indian forces will continue.
More than 22,000 Kashmiris migrated to Azad Jammu and Kashmir from Indian Kashmir in 1990 due to Indian repression and are now residing in several camps set up in Muzaffarabad, Bagh and Kotli.
