Critics credit Shahid and Priyanka
Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone bagged the most votes to win the Best Actor awards.
Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra were the big winners at the 2015 Life OK Screen Awards held in Mumbai. Shahid won the Best Actor (male) for Haider, while Priyanka won Best Actor (female) for Mary Kom, reported India Today.
While Shahid and Priyanka received Critics Choice Best Actor awards, Shah Rukh Khan went home with the Best Actor (Male) - Popular Choice for the blockbuster Happy New Year and his co-star in the film Deepika Padukone was voted as the Best Actor (Female) - Popular Choice.
Shahid also won the Hero of the Year (male) for Haider, and Best Jodi (Best Pair) award with Tabu. Alia Bhatt received the Hero of the Year (female) award for Highway. Tabu also shared the Best Supporting Actor (female) Award with Seema Pahwa (Ankhon Dekhi).
The 21st Life OK Annual Screen Awards 2015 ceremony was attended by many established Bollywood celebrities, including Hema Malini, Siddarth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt, Tiger Shroff, Kajol, Varun Dhawan, Shahid Kapoor, Tabu, Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora Khan among others.
Veteran actor Hema Malini was conferred with the Lifetime Achievement award by Shah Rukh Khan. Past recipients include Amitabh Bachchan, late director Yash Chopra, and Asha Bhosle.
Debutante Tiger Shroff, who proved his talent with his debut film Heropanti, received the Best Promising Newcomer (Male) while Best Promising Newcomer (Female) went to Patralekhaa for the movie Citylights, reported IANS.
Kangna Ranaut’s Queen was awarded the Best Film while the film’s director Vikas Bahl was conferred with the Best Director award.
