An Apple-calypse? Blackberry official tweets from iPhone
Message urged BlackBerry's loyal users to keep up with the conversation using new phone
WASHINGTON:
In a major social media fail, the creative director of BlackBerry used his iPhone to send a promotional tweet about their new classic phone from the company's official account, The Times of India reported.
The message which urged BlackBerry's loyal users to keep up with the conversation was deleted shortly after being posted.
However, the damage control came a little too late by social media standards. In minutes, Twitter users picked up on this and highlighted the mistake.
The message seen below the tweet "Twitter for iPhone" can only be seen when using Tweetbot, Tweetdeck and other third-party clients and would not be seen when using the regular Twitter application.
A comical approach was also taken to highlight BlackBerry's mistake which they won't be making in the near future.
