Not Guilty: Two acquitted of killing doctor, son
LAHORE:
An anti terrorism court acquitted two murder suspects on Wednesday after the prosecution’s witnesses failed to recognise them. Rauf Gujjar and Sabir Shah were accused of killing Ali Haider, a doctor, and his son in 2013. It was being investigated as a sectarian attack and police had declared Shah and Gujjar guilty in the challan presented before the court. Counsel for the suspects said they had been implicated in a false case. The prosecution’s witnesses had failed to recognise the suspects, after which the court acquitted both suspects.
