Vigil attack: Police get physical remand for four rioters
LAHORE:
An anti terrorism court sent four suspects, accused of attacking civil society members holding a vigil in the memory of Salmaan Taseer, on physical remand on Wednesday.
Police presented Iftikhar, Furqanul Haq, Wazir Ali and Naveed in court and requested remand to investigate them.
Police said that they wanted to interrogate the suspects to find out about the people behind the attack. The court then sent the suspects on physical remand for six days.
Around 10 people had attacked a memorial demonstration held at Liberty Roundabout on January 4 to mark Salmaan Taseer’s death anniversary.
