Tragic: Maid dies in house fire
BAHAWALPUR:
A 13-year-old domestic help died and items worth hundreds of thousands of rupees burned down in a house fire on Tuesday.
Rescue-1122 officials said someone had accidently left gas on in a room on the first floor of Mian Iftikhar Ahmad’s house in Sabzazar Colony, Bahawalpur. Saira, a servant at the house, went to fetch something from the room. When she switched on the light, there was an explosion and the entire floor caught fire. Rescue-1122’s fire fighters arrived at the scene and put out the fire, but Saira succumbed to burn injuries.
