Enforcing the law: Two suspects to be grilled for 90 days

KARACHI:
An anti-terrorism court (ATC) was informed on Tuesday by the Pakistan Rangers about the 90-days preventive detention of two suspects. Officials of the paramilitary force, along with their legal team, presented the suspects, identified as Ayaz Ahmed and Rehan Ikram, before the ATC-II judge. They told the special judge that there was credible information against the suspects of their alleged involvement in cases pertaining to terrorism. The suspects were arrested the night before during a targeted operation. The court was told that the suspect will be grilled for three months under Section 11-EEEE(1) of the Anti-Terrorism Act and were being shifted to a special cell at the city's central prison for further investigation.
