Eleven more US-led air strikes hit Islamic State militants: task force
Strikes destroy various fighting positions as well as four units of IS fighters

The US military and its partner nations have conducted four more air strikes against Islamic State (IS) in Syria and seven air strikes in Iraq, the task force leading the operation said on Tuesday.
The strikes, which took place between 8am, January 12, and 8am, January 13, local time, destroyed various fighting positions as well as four units of IS fighters, the Combined Joint Task Force said in a statement.
In Syria, airstrikes destroyed five IS fighting positions near Kobani a tank near Dawraz Zawr.
In Iraq, three airstrikes near Mosul destroyed an IS tactical unit, bunkers, a heavy machine gun, mortar positions, and an armored vehicle, while two airstrikes near Baghdad destroyed a tactical unit, a fighting position and two heavy machine guns. Tactical units near Tal Afar and Sinjar were also destroyed.
Coalition nations conducting airstrikes in Iraq include the US, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Netherlands and the United Kingdom, while coalition nations conducting airstrikes in Syria include the US, Bahrain, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
