Musharraf never interviewed for UN report: Saif

Saif said on Wednesday that former president Pervez Musharraf was never formally interviewed.

KARACHI:
Chairman of the All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), Muhammad Ali Saif said on Wednesday that former president Pervez Musharraf was never formally interviewed by the UN commission’s head Ambassador Heraldo Muñoz regarding the assassination of Benazir Bhutto.

While speaking to analyst Quatrina Hosain, Saif alleged that Munoz informally called on Musharraf and discussed Pakistan's political situation with him and then left. He added that Munoz' claims of having spoken to Musharraf about the Liaqat Bagh assassination are false.

Speaking about the allegations leveled against Musharraf regarding insufficient security arrangements for Ms Bhutto, the APML Chairman said that there was a parliamentary, democratic government set up at the time, and the former president was, "not calling all the shots".
