Quetta blast: Police patrol narrowly escapes explosion

A police mobile narrowly escaped a remote-controlled bomb attack on Quetta-Mastung Road in the Shalkot area on Sunday morning. According to a Shalkot Police Station official, the mobile of New Saryab Police Station was on a routine patrol on Mastung Road when a bomb planted beside the road went off with huge explosion. “The explosion occurred a few seconds after the police mobile passed by. The intensity of the blast was such that the windscreen of the mobile was shattered by the sheer impact of the explosion. However, all policemen remained unhurt,” Jahangir Shah, SHO Shalkot, said.
