KARACHI:
Singer Rahim Shah recorded a song on Saturday as tribute to the victims of the Peshawar attack, reported Roznama Express.

His new song titled Maa Kis Ko Jhulaogi Jhoola?, is a revamped version of his previous classic, Maa Mujhko Jhulao Na Jhoola.

On December 16, 150 people, including over 130 schoolchildren, were killed after militants stormed into an army-run school in Peshawar. This was the deadliest terrorist attack ever to occur in Pakistan, surpassing the 2007 Karachi bombing.

A rescue operation was launched by the Pakistan Army’s Special Services Group (SSG) Special Forces, who killed all seven terrorists and rescued around 960 people. The attacks received condemnations from several politicians, the public and government officials with several media outlets calling for renewed and strong action against terrorist forces.

Speaking about the situation in the aftermath of the December 16 killings, the musician remarked that, “We, as a nation, should not be frightened and face tough times together.”

“The government needs to take measures to improve the state-of-affairs in the country so that the people do not face any woes,” the pop singer added.

Rahim Shah, has released several albums in both Urdu and Pashto, with some of his memorable tracks being his debut single Ghum, Maama Dey, Channa Ve to name a few.

The release date of the song has yet to be confirmed.
