Better prepared: Schools to reopen on 12th amid tight security

All public schools and colleges in Islamabad will reopen on Monday among increased security measures.



Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Usman Ibrahim told the National Assembly on Thursday that the government had taken several measures to improve security for educational institutes in the capital.


He said every educational institute will have two security guards each. Boundary walls of schools and colleges are being raised to eight feet and being fortified with barbed wire.


Ibrahim said 35 security cameras have been installed in different institutes. A committee headed by a senior joint secretary is reviewing security measures for schools.
