Women Business Development Centre Peshawar hosted a meeting of Inter-Banking Focus Group

Women Business Development Centre (WBDC) Peshawar hosted a meeting of Inter-Banking Focus Group (IBFG) here with SBP Banking Services Corporation Peshawar Chief Manager. During the meeting, representatives of different commercial banks highlighted the micro-finance schemes of their respective financial institutes and announced extending full cooperation to small and medium enterprise development authority (Smeda) and WBDC. This support is available in the provision of finances and facilitation in the promotion of small scale household and traditional businesses in the province. Furthermore, the participants of the meeting also flouted different proposals regarding risk management in issuance of micro-finances to businesses and particularly to women entrepreneurs. To a proposal for the establishment of Rs100 million, Venture Capital Fund, flouted by the representative of Bannu University, SBP Chief Manager, Tanvirul Islam called for the inclusion of the Innovative Challenge Fund of the financial regulator in the proposals of the meeting.
