“There are websites available which encourage people to do jihad every day, they encourage people to become mass murderers of Shiite people and the people from other religious sects,” claimed Mansoor, “but I say this with a heavy heart that Maulana Fazl is silent on these matters.” PHOTO: INP
KARACHI:
The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Thursday flayed Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman for defying national consensus over a 20-point national action plan to combat terror and the subsequent formation of military courts to try terrorists, Express News reported.
“Jamaat-e-Islaam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman tried to divide the nation by distorting the facts. There is no outcry to be heard against the terrorists from the Maulana,” said MQM leader Qamar Mansoor on Thursday.
Addressing a press conference held in Karachi, Mansoor said, “Religious seminaries are bringing the righteous message of Islam, but a few narrow minded clerics like Maulana Fazl are ‘selling’ religious teachings to create friction between sects and are misusing mosques and religious institutions for their ulterior motives.”

“Maulana’s news conference betrays victims of the army public school [attack].”
Saluat Mirza’s sentence to be challenged
Speaking about Saulat Mirza, who is on death row, the MQM leader said that his family will be mounting a legal challenge to his sentence.
“The case of Saulat Mirza is of political significance and his family has filed a petition with the help of a prominent lawyer. They have the same right to justice as every other citizen of Pakistan.”
Mansoor, who is also the caretaker in-charge of MQM’s Rabita Committee, congratulated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan on his marriage with Reham Khan.
