The way forward: 31 projects approved in various sectors

The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) on Wednesday approved 31 projects in the irrigation, health, infrastructure, E&SE, higher education, forestry, industries, ST&IT and mines and minerals sectors.



The total cost of these projects is Rs20.565 billion. The approved projects include a zoo for Peshawar Division. It will be established on the state land of Pakistan Forest Institute.

Covering 39 acres, the covered area is bigger than Lahore Zoo and its first phase will be completed in two years. Moreover, a technology university is to be established in Nowshera and was conceptually approved at a cost of Rs3 billion.
