Sporadic exchange of fire took place on Wednesday along the Working Boundary in the Shakargarh sector between Rangers personnel and Indian Border Security Force (BSF) soldiers, Express News reported.
Personnel of the Indian Border Security Force also fired four mortar rounds from Sumbul check post four, which landed in the Abyal Dogar area of Pakistan.
More than two dozen civilians have been killed on both sides due to the recent exchanges of fire across the Line of Control. Thousands have been forced to flee their homes on both sides.
On January 6, four Pakistani civilians were killed in ‘unprovoked firing and heavy shelling’ by BSF in the Zafarwal and Shakargarh sectors along the Sialkot Working Boundary.
