Controversial exams dates: Medical students stage protest in Quetta
.
QUETTA:
Medical students in Quetta protested against the rescheduling of their examination dates. Students gathered outside Bolan Medical College on Tuesday and raised slogans against the principal, demanding the administration to not hold exams ahead of the schedule issued by the University of Balochistan. “The university has announced that exams of Bolan Medical College will start by February 16 next month. But suddenly, principal of the college announced to hold it from January 20 — leaving only two weeks for preparation,” said Chakar Baloch, a student of BMC. The students are in a state of confusion as to which dates should they follow as they need more time to study for such tough exams, he told The Express Tribune. However, the principal of BMC, Saadat Khan Barozai, said it was earlier decided that exams will take place in January. It was decided few months ago. “The University had given the dates in accordance with MA and MSC which has nothing to do with MBBS students,” he said.
