KARACHI: Ten players qualified for the knockout stages of the Jubilee Insurance 7th National Junior U21 Snooker Championship after winning their matches on day two in Karachi.

The players who secured their place in the last 16 include Muhammad Saqib, Muhammad Nouman Iqbal, Amir Tariq, Haris Tahir, Muhammad Bilal, Muhammad Ibrahim, Muhammad Faheem, Muhammad Hassan Anwar, Fahad Khan and Muhammad Adil.

Adil’s match was one of the highlights of the day after the cueist came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 against Muhammad Kashif.

In other interesting encounters, Faheem thrashed Sanaullah Sattar in straight frames, while Nouman piped Usman Khan in a closely fought five-setter and Tahir beat Sameerul Hassan 3-0.
