Crackdown: 83 fined for overcharging

LAHORE: Price control magistrates checked 790 shops in the city on Saturday and fined 83 shop keepers for overcharging their customers. According to a press statement, cases were registered against six shop keepers and 16 were taken into custody. DCO Captain (retd) Muhammad Usman said that the campaign against hoarding and profiteering would continue in the coming week.  One of the teams sealed an LPG shop in Barkat Market and fined the shopkeeper Rs6,000 for overpricing.
