Elite Force will be on standby to assist regular police in district.
ATTOCK:
Security arrangements have been finalised for the Eid Miladun Nabi processions that will be taken out from various areas of the district.
A police spokesperson, while talking to APP on Saturday, said four processions in Attock, five each in Hazro, Hasanabdal and Fatehjang, fifteen in Pindigheb and seven in Jand will be taken out on Sunday.
To provide security and to handle any emergency situation, more than one thousand cops will be deployed including six DSPs, 218 inspectors, 250 head constables and 1,120 constables.
Meanwhile, the Elite Force will remain on standby to assist the police while security personnel in plain clothes will also be deployed along the route processions.
The police spokesperson further said that under the supervision of DPO Israr Ahmad Abbasi, all routes of the processions would be sealed.
“No one would be allowed to set up charity stalls without prior permission of the police and no one would be allowed to stand on rooftops along the main procession routes,” he said. The spokesperson said that cops would be deployed on rooftops to provide security cover to the processions.
He said that all the processions would be monitored through CCTV cameras.
DCO Attock Chaudhry Habibullah has already imposed Section 144.
