Rainwater: SC seeks report on drainage system
The WASA deputy managing director submitted a summary of arrangements made to drain rainwater

The Lahore Registry of the Supreme Court (SC) on Friday sought a report about steps taken to improve drainage system in Lahore. The court held suo motu proceedings regarding accumulation of rainwater in several city areas, including court’s premises. The WASA deputy managing director submitted a summary of arrangements made to drain rainwater. He said a sewerage system could be laid from Lakshmi Chowk to Gulshan-i-Ravi at a cost of Rs7 billion to improve the situation. The court had earlier directed the authorities to make arrangements for draining rainwater.
